Galway Downs Partners with Symons Ambulance Services
Beginning in the Summer of 2017, Galway Downs entered into a service agreement with Symons Ambulance to provide qualified medical care in the form of Athletic Trainers and Emergency Medical Technicians for all tournaments and league play hosted at Galway Downs.
“Symons Ambulance is proud to partner with Galway Downs to provide state-of-the-art event medical care to everyone at the venue. The safety and well being of every player, parent, worker and others is our highest priority.” Symons’ President and CEO, Dr. Jeff T. Grange, MD, MBA, FACEP
Galway Downs is proud to be one of the first facilities in Southern California to mandate qualified medical professionals be present at all athletic events pursuant to U.S. Soccer’s Recognize to Recover program and the Galway Downs “Athlete’s First” initiative, which provides:
- Adoption of the Recognize to Recover program and its principles, including the adoption of an Emergency Action Plan for all venues.
- Employ qualified sports trainers and health care providers at games and facilities whenever possible based on the level of play.

Directions
Use your GPS to get to Temecula, but please turn it off (ignore it) once you turn on Los Caballos or Pauba Road and follow the signs/directions because your GPS is going to likely send you to the main entrance and not to the correct entrance for your field.
Know the field number your athlete is playing on before arriving and double check directly on the Cal South site the night before (sometimes teams are reassigned different field numbers). We have two large polo fields and depending on the field number you will want to enter the correct entrance. These entrances change from time-to-time depending on events at Galway Downs (we are 242 acres) so follow the signs.
- 15 Freeway to Temecula, CA
- Exit TEMECULA PARKWAY and head East
- Turn Left at LOS CABALLOS RD (Polo 2) or PAUBA RD (Polo 1)
- Follow the Signs – Your entrance may change.
- Highway 74 (West)
- Left (West) on Highway 371
- Right (West) on Highway 79-South
- Right on Pauba and follow signs to correct field.
